One Iraq story is dominating the headlines today. Comments aside, I was surprised by this news anchor trying to coerce an answer from a father that lost his son. Its as if he held the interview with a prepared mindset that this father will be everything that he wants his show to have. I am astonished that an inteviewer is out there to collect answers that he wants rather than to accept what his interviewee wants to say.
It reminds me awfully of the case in Outfoxxed where O reilly is wants an answer but that son stood up to what he felt correct and did not bow to Oreilly.

It's strange, but it may have something to with the corporatisation of news. News organisations (and especially in the US) are all corporate entities, with responsibilities to stock markets and profits and losses. When the objective becomes money and not reporting, the reporting is bound to suffer. Had heard this wonderful report on NPR about the Des Moines Register which had about 15 Pullitzers in the 60s and 70s. But has gone to the dogs ever since USA Today has bought it over and the reporting is in its style.
wow thats news for me about des moines register. thanks
