if these were in an inhabitated area, then you could argue that this was a crop circle to simplify irrigation. If you have been to the farming communities you will see they have this long irrigation pipe on wheels for which you need a longer irrigation hose. Supposedly the cost of irrigation hose gets reduced in the circular formation, and the irrigation pipe itself is only half the length.
But since this area is in an uninhabitated area, i blame marvin the martian for it.
