Its so surprising that my chinese colleague in Penang wishes me Happy New Year and I am the least bit aware that its 1427 Hijri !!! Time I start seeing the moon, since I am not noticing the sun.

somebody put a nice happy new year sign on IIC door...
one of my profs is chinese and he was teling us about the new year and he was saying somthing about some haram horescope thing but i wasn't paying attention so i don't know what he said :)

This chinese year is 'year of Dog', if I am not wrong.. chinese like hindus have detail horoscope for each year...
