Science is not confused about the existence of God. It is mostly those scientists who are also known as evolutionists that are confused. Yes there are atheists who will shout about explainging everything in terms of an equation and called the unknown variable as "c" or "phi" etc. If everything was defined, then probability and statistics would not be such big fields.
All my professors who were at the forefront of research in their fields believed in God. Each one of them knows the complexity of what he/she was designing and would get awed at the complexity i.e. this world.

Science* is confused whether God exists or not. My mind tells me HE exists. My heart tells me one day I will be close to HIM.

Science since centuries has never acknowledged god, Stephen Hawkings, Einsteins, Isaac Newton...
Mostly they-all/some believe at some personal level... some believed in religion... collectively as a community, never.
